Course aims
To provide knowledge of Estonian morphology, relationship between forms and their functions, the system of Estonian suppletion.
Brief description of the course
Relationships of morphology with neighbouring levels. Grammaticalisation. Suppletions. Parts of speech. Formation of declinable words, verb forms and functions of forms. The concept and purpose of taxonomic morphology, morphological classifications. Inflectional classes.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
