Course aims
Knowledge of the translating from Finnish into Estonian and from Estonian into Finnish. Learn to interpret a variety of texts and styles.
Brief description of the course
Translations from Finnish into Estonian and vice versa. Professional translations and European Union issues. Translations of fiction. Õigekeelsuslikud comments. Analysis translations practicals.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
The student knows the differences between Estonian and Finnish language and translation theory and be able to apply their knowledge in practical translation work.
