Course aims

Learn to compile and analyse different text types. Demonstrate that language has many functions, different means of communication. Language in creating situations, connections and relationships.

Brief description of the course

Text: structure, types. Compiling different texts, functional styles and templates. Main functions of language in creating information, values and social interaction between persons and institutions.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
Students can compile texts considering their function and situation; use apropriate templates and strategies, choose proper .means of expression and find information in language sources. Students are able to analyse texts, their purpse functional styles, position in the social interaction etc.
