Course aims
The Practical Film Project is a joint short film project carried out by film students which aims to provide students the opportunity to put their acquired knowledge into practice in a situation simulating real filmmaking.
Brief description of the course
The course consists of the pre-production, production and post-production of a film project according to predetermined rules, during which each student performs their professional role in at least one project and participates in an assisting role to their course mates in at least one project. The course has a very high proportion of independent work and requires active contribution from the students, while the teaching staff has a guiding and supporting role. The rules of the second film project are defined depending on which skills the students need to acquire in the course of filmmaking.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- has ability to independently perform their professional duties in a short film production cycle, taking into account the needs of all other professions involved in the film project and the contribution of one’s profession to the overall history of film.
