Course aims
The objectives of the course are:
- To provide a general overview of the history of European integration, the formation of the European Union (EU) and its role in the world politics and economy.
- To discribe the goals and main achievements of the EU.
- To describe the history of EU enlargement.
- To dicsribe the EU’s main economic, foreign and security policies and role in the world.
- To propose future scenarios for the EU.
Brief description of the course
The course provides a general overview about European integration, the deepening and enlargement of EU integration and the future of the EU.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows the basic facts of the EU’s history;
- know the main goals of the EU
- are able to orientate around EU economic, foreign and security policy questions;
- are able to discribe the future of the EU and its relations with other international organizations.
