To offer XX century Russian Literature knowledge and understanding; to create a basis for comprehension of recent Russian literature.
Brief description of the course
XX century Russian literature phenomenon, tendencies and peculiarities. Place of XX century Russian Literature in the World literature The Recent Russian Literature Seminars, that are arranged on the base of previously given lektûr with the purpose to define writer’s and his works’ place in the recent Russian literature; to fix connections with literature tradition and/or novelty. The Main Features of the Recent Russian Literature.
Recent Russian Prose through the lens of tradition and novelty. Annual literary award as a benchmark in the world of Russian literature.
Final course work about one recent Russian Literature writer by student choose from the lecturer special list; check the reading of works from the recommended reading list.
Learning outcomes in the course
Precise knowledge about XX century Russian literature existence from the century beginning till XX century last decade. Capacity to defend students’ opinions, ideas, points of view in operation with the hot problems of this period of history and literature. Skills to navigate in the recent Russian literature.
Completing all homework; obligatory reading control (a teacher gives the list of recommended literature on the first lecture)
