Brief description of the course
The lectures cover the following topics: Introduction to aging changes. Aging changes in the cardiovascular system. Aging changes in the respiratory system. Aging changes in the digestive system. Aging changes in the urinary system. Aging changes in the locomotor system. Aging changes in the sense organs. Aging changes in endocrine glands. Aging changes in the nervous system
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows the biological basis of the aging process and the main directions of related changes in the human body;
- knows the age-related changes in various organ systems of the human body and the related decline in functional capacity;
- can apply optimal physical load according to age-related changes in the functioning of human body systems;
- can prepare an optimal menu and diet regimen, as well as work and vacation regimens.
