Course aims

This course aims to create the conditions:
To study and experience primarily through “learning by doing” the fundamental methods of developing skilled technique in basic basketball skills and tactics. In addition the student should be able to describe different exercises related to these skills and tactics, and get to know the basic rules of basketball.

Brief description of the course

Moving without the ball, dribbling basics, passing basics, shooting basics, 1x1 game strategy. The game rules and match protocol compliance. Methods of describing exercises in basketball.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- is able to perform individual technical elements of basketball; compose and describe exercises and complete the game protocol;
- knows the competition regulations
