Course aims

The purpose of the subject is to create the conditions for acquiring techniques and teaching methodology of 4 different swimming styles- crawl, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly.

Brief description of the course

Acquiring theoretical basics of techniques of competitive sporting swimming styles. Methodological exercises for acquiring technique. Defects in movement, their reasons and elimination ways. Individual work with literature, individual exercising.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- knows the theory of basic swimming techniques and swimming strokes;
- applies acquired knowledge and skills safely, demonstrating acquired techniques in different swimming styles;
- develops their skills based on feedback received during technical learning.
