Course aims
Create the conditions to understand their own identity as a youth worker and to implement the obtained knowledge and skills in their career planning and management.
Brief description of the course
* Youth worker’s identity and the development of the identity
* Self-reflection, tools of reflection, mapping of experiences and strenghts
* Self-management (setting goals, assuring mental and physical welfare, time management, problem solving, self-realization, personal development, self-motivation, management)
* Team work, team roles, management styles
* Values, conflicts of values, and ethics (including youth worker’s professional ethics)
* Self-reflection, tools of reflection, mapping of experiences and strenghts
* Self-management (setting goals, assuring mental and physical welfare, time management, problem solving, self-realization, personal development, self-motivation, management)

Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- understands the development of the youth worker’s identity and expresses their own identity as a youth worker;
- analyzes their experiences, knowledge, skills and attitude and expresses those in the developmental portfolio of a youth worker;
- understands the different parts of self-management and applies the obtained knowledge into practice.
