Course aims
Provide an overview of youth leadership and entrepreneurship opportunities, and to introduce various forms of participation. To develop the skills for involving, mentoring, motivating and supporting the youth. To introduce the principles and opportunities of youth leadership and entrepreneurship.
Brief description of the course
Civil society. Youth and civil society. Activity of youth in civil society. Opportunities and principles of entrepreneurship. Young and entrepreneurship. Different forms of participation. Youth involvement, guidance, motivation and support. Youth participation approaches. Group and group process.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows and understands the forms of youth leadership, entrepreneurship and participation;
- implements the principles of a good involvement in their work with young people;
- understands the importance of youth participation in civil society;
- is able to introduce young people the different forms of participation (eg participation collections, youth groups, student councils, project-based, and voluntary activities), considering the interests of young people, available options and the context;
- is able to support the development of a young leader and entrepreneurship, directing and instructing them in implementing their ideas in an appropriate manner
