Course aims

Students get knowledge in the area of modern Bulgarian language system.

Brief description of the course

Bulgarian phonetic system - diachronistic aspects and grammatical structure. Grammatical classification - noun, adjective, numeral, pronoun. Verb tenses and verbal forms. Direct and indirect speech.
Participle, adverb, preposition, conjunction, interjection, particle. Syntax - different ways of building sentenses. Dialects and literary language.
Individual work: intensive home-work (exercises) for bulgarian grammar mastering.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- has main knowledge and practical skills in written and spoken language;
- has linguistic competence in today's Bulgarian.
