Course aims

To obtain polish pronunciation and basic knowledge of grammar.

Brief description of the course

Polish as a one of Slavonic languages. Polish phonetical structure, principles of ortography and orthoepy. The main principles of word-formation and methods of using dictionaries. Basic lexicology. Vocabulary mastering through the written texts and dialogues. Development of speaking skills.
Individual work: report.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- knows ABC of Polish language and can read;
- understands basic polish grammar;
- has the correct pronunciation of Polish language.
