Brief description of the course
The course addresses the following topics: discipline formation of public administration; development of public administration: the traditional public management, new public management; policy dilemma; the organizational structure for the public sector, public sector transformation; public service: budgeting and financing of the state budget.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- has knowledge of public administration and the nature of the developments in modern public management;
- knows the key areas of public administration and theoretical approaches.
