Course aims
The purpose of the course: 
To understand policy analysis and its' methods, the process of policy making and its' stages; 
To implement the acquired competence of public policy to theoretically map and decipher policy perspectives;
To deepen the general knowledge of central theoretical approaches of political sciences.
 
Brief description of the course
The course gives an insight to the following subjects: 
The development of public policy as a dicipline - the need for such dicipline and its' generalistics. The main frames of research of public policy. The process of policy-making, political analysis. Structuring policy problems - the types of policy models and the methods of structuring. Prognosis of policy outcomes. The methods of proposal for policy choices. Proposals of policy choices - approaches and methods. Policy implementation and outcome monitoring. Valuing policies, different methods of monitoring. Different perspectives of desicion-making process analysis.
 
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- deepens the general knowledge of central theoretical approaches of political sciences.
- understands policy analysis and its' methods, the process of policy making and its' stages;
- implements the acquired competence of public policy to theoretically map and decipher policy perspectives;
