Course aims

This course will give a historical and analytical overview of the Transatlantic relationship. A particular emphasis will be in evaluating the status of the Transatlantic relationship in the Post-Cold war era and the important factors that foster cooperation as well as tensions.

Brief description of the course

Many topics will be covered in this course including the history and formation of NATO, EU-US relations, the role of values, ideology, and migration in the creation of the Transatlantic relationship. Post-Cold War tensions and the reasons will also be discussed.
