Course aims

To give an overview of security topics throughout hisory and today
To teach recognizing and analysing special features of cyber security, energy security and other similar issues.

Brief description of the course

The course analyses the changes is security traditions and the lectures deal with new security issues: energy, environment, cyber security. The focus is on whatever topic is most important at the moment. The course is graded based on small seminar papers written during the course.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- knows various fields of security and can analyse them;
- knows differences in dealing with traditional and new security issues.
