Course aims
The aim of this course is to give analytical overview of the basic in energy security - energy sources, supplier-customer relations, basic focal geopolitical cases
Brief description of the course
The course, comprising both lectures and readings-based seminars, covers theories and practical examples of oil, gas, uranium etc. rich regions and countries and their policies, problems and challenges. Specific cases of Russia, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela and Kazakhstan are provided
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- has in-depth knowledge of the main issues in energy security analyses within the framework of foreign policy.
