Course aims
To teach the functional field of planning, setting up and registering an enterprise in Estonia.
Brief description of the course
The course gives an introduction of the necessary steps for establishing an enterprise, including following steps: carrying out a market research, writing a business plan, counseling and getting funding, managing finances, providing business loan, payment obligation, legal information and the necessary licenses and clearances to start activities and to advertise.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- can find the relevant resources of ideas, experiences and guides, including expressing their ideas in the business plan;
- understands the legal requirements, marketing and licenses needed for business;
- can specialize on goods and services which are attractive in the market sector and carry out market research;
- can be in accordance with EU and Estonian environmental requirements and develop an environmental plan in order to reduce the ecological footprint and encourage "green" activities within the company;
- understands the funding principles and financial needs and choices to start and sustain a business.
