Course aims
The purpose is to obtain practical work experience, to implement the knowledge acquired in university and to get an overview of the division of work of the public organization. To learn to evaluate the management efficiency of public organization and the skill to define the necessity of students tasks in the context of the organization.
Brief description of the course
Practical work can be conducted in public sector organizations. For example:
Central government institutions (ministries, State Audit Office, County Government);
Local administrative institutions (local government, institutions of local government);
Government agencies, institutions (offices and inspectorates).
During the practical work the student must get an overview of the organization (the reason for establishing the organization - mission, goals, tasks to perform in order to achieve the goals, place in the administrative system, relation with other organizations etc). Student must write a description and analysis of departments work (how important are the goals in the context of organization, what can be done differently, what was surprising etc).
