Course aims
To give an overview about the research areas of the scientists in the School of Natural Sciences and Health (SNSH). To create opportunities for students to find topics for Master’s theses and for interdisciplinary project. To develop and deepen the skills for formulating scientific research questions and hypotheses. Critically discuss the sustainability issues.
Brief description of the course
The main purpose of the study course is to invite the researchers and teaching staff of SNSH to introduce their various research topics. Students have to find and read related articles and have to be able to discuss the topics in the seminars. This will create opportunities and base for the academic disputations and understanding of the complex The course includes lectures/seminars and independent study work with thematic literature. -
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- has knowledge related to concepts and problematic of Natural and Sustainability sciences;
- has skills to use thematic vocabulary in critical analysis.
