Course aims

To create prerequisites for developing Spanish on A2 Waystage) level;
To create prerequisites for acquiring pronunciation and developing listening comprehension skills;
To create prerequisites for reinforcing basic grammar;
To create preconditions for expanding vocabulary;
To support the development of communication skills.

Brief description of the course

The course is designed to target the students whose command of Spanish equals to A1 level (Breakthrough) according to ELP (the European language Portfolio);
Development of pronunciation skills;
Development of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills by means of interactive and communicative activities;
Systematic overview of Spanish grammar;
Thematic vocabulary expansion.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
Ability to sense differences in Spanish pronunciation;
Ability to expand vocabulary;
Ability to understand well-articulated everyday communicative situations;
Ability to implement basic speaking skills;
Ability to exploit language skills in completing grammar tasks;
Ability to pass an exam on A2 level.
