Course aims

The course is part of the curriculum, Sound Design. Minor (15 credits). To provide students with knowledge of the compositional foundations of sound and about compiling sound schemes.

Brief description of the course

The objective of the course is to introduce the nature of the sound and its effect to the human psyche. Main topics cover sound and energy matrix, sound therapy, sound aesthetics in music. During the course the student will write an essay and work through the compulsory literature.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
Student is able to discuss independently on the topics, which were covered during the course. Understanding the sound effect to the people and interpret the nature of the sound.

Eksamiessee või ettekanne. Novembrikuu jooksul esitab üliõpilane oma essee või ettekande teema, vajalik on kooskõlastus õppejõuga. Essee/ettekande teema võiks välja kasvada süvendatud huvist ühe üliõpilase õpitava eriala heliesteetilise aspekti vastu, kuid teemal võib olla ka laiem kontekst. Oluline on üliõpilase tõsine huvi süveneda ühte heliesteetika aspekti ning arendada teemat iseseisvalt.
