Brief description of the course
The course consists of practical training sessions aimed at developing flexibility, coordination, posture and expressiveness through the classical ballet training system. Students are introduced to ballet terminology and the correct technical execution of movements.
The course includes:
barre exercises appropriate to the beginner level;
centre work with simple coordination and balance exercises;
allegro combinations appropriate to the beginner level (small jumps).
The learning process is practice-based and requires participation in at least 85% of contact sessions.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- performs the basic movements and exercises of classical ballet according to beginner-level technical principles;
- understands the basic terminology of classical ballet;
- applies principles of musicality and coordination in ballet training exercises;
- demonstrates understanding of fundamental movement principles and anatomically informed body use.
