Course aims
To create prerequisites for the practice and analysis of contemporary dance composition through the creative tools and principles of cinematography. Create a willingness through a dance film for different collaboration with other art professionals.
Brief description of the course
The course takes place in theoretical and practical classes, where the methods of creating choreography for the dance film are studied, as well as the principles of the formal structure of the film, various ideas and incentives for creation, as the sound design and dramaturgy in the dance film.
During the semester, a dance film will be created in collaboration with the students of the BFM program KinoEyes, which will be presented during the examination - in public display. The process-based practical part of the subject requires active participation (85%) of the lessons.

Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- has ability to create and analyze the formal structure of the dance film and the use of various experimental creative methods;
- has ability to develop choreographic ideas in the form of short films;
- has ability to analyze the formal structure of the short works created by themselves and other course partners and the development of ideas and the relationships between camera, sound design and choreograph;
- has courage to experiment and experiment with new ideas.
