Brief description of the course
The curriculum is mainly comprised of practical creative classes, where the basic principles and assignments of a dance répétiteur’s work are looked into. Choreographic material is chosen form what the students have previously come across in the history of ballet and modern dance course. Students form small groups where each can try out both the roles of a performer and a répétiteur of choreographic material. The responsible professor is continuously included in the process and provides directions to students. The studying methods and styles of teaching are chosen based on the principles of dance didactics. At the end of the course students will perform their works and provide a description of the process and a self-analysis. Students are expected to take part in at least 90% of the contact lessons.
