Course aims
The aim of the course is the survey key topics, themes, theories, and methods in the study of intercultural communication.
Brief description of the course
The course surveys key topics, themes, theories, and methods in the study of intercultural communication. It introduces key topics and themes, including but not limited to intercultural competence, interculturality, stereotyping, lingua franca communication, and nationalism.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- will be able to identify and discuss key topics and themes in intercultural communication research;
- will be able situate key topics and themes in intercultural communication research within a specific region or country.
