Course aims
The objective of the course is to create opportunities for the development of skills in planning and conducting a vocational education process that integrates student-centred, outcome-based, theoretical and practical training and general and key competences and in reflecting on teaching work and for the development of the teacher’s own professional skills.
Brief description of the course
Professional Pedagogical Practice II is performed in a vocational education centre or in an institution conducting vocational education training abroad. Planning and conducting the educational training process. Curriculum, implementation schedule of the module and learning outcomes of the subjects. Integrating theoretical and practical training with general and key competences. Creating an environment that motivates the learning process of the student and supports their development. Teaching and assessment methods that support the development of the student. Impact of the personal example of the vocational teacher on the formation of students' attitudes and values, teaching ethics. Feedback from students and supervisors, self-reflection. Giving pedagogical feedback to a fellow teacher.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- plans the educational process independently according to the learning outcomes based on the curriculum, the characteristics of students and the principles of vocational education didactics, while taking into account integration aspects;
- implements learning and assessment methods that support students’ development while integrating theoretical and practical training and general and key competences when conducting the learning and education process;
- analyses the conduct of a fellow teacher by giving feedback and sharing pedagogical experience;
- supports the development of students’ values based on their own personal example, guided by teaching ethics, school practices, values and good communication practices;
- reflects on their own pedagogical activities and development as a vocational teacher based on feedback and self-reflection.
