Course aims
To become familiar with the specific features of learning processes of different age groups, to learn to plan, organise and guide the learning process.
Brief description of the course
The concept, essence and circular model of didactics and its connections with other subjects. Key and contemporary issues in didactics, descriptive and normative didactics. Planning lessons, teaching units/lesson, aims and stages of a lesson. Basic skills of teaching. Methods of teaching or ways of working, their selection and aims. Integration principle. Teaching based on integrated topics in a basic school (the first stage). Learning through making projects. Assessment.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- has knowledge about general principles of didactics;
- has skills of planning, aiming and analyzing teaching units;
- has teaching skills (classroom communication and management etc);
- has ability organizing learning process and reflecting his/her own job;
- has skills and knowledge of integration and individualization of teaching;
