Course aims
To develop a basic knowledge of document and archive management.
Brief description of the course
Introduction into the main conceptions. The terms and conceptions of document management. General characteristics of paper-based and electronic document management. The concepts of document and archive management, documentation activities, document and archive record, document’s life-cycle. Legal environment of document and archive management: governmental and ministerial decrees, directives, standards, local authorities’ decrees, codes of good practise in document and archive management. Document system, documents, the processes in document and archive management, creation and receiving of the documents, registration, classification, defining of the preservation time limit, access, monitoring of the document usage and movement, separation of the documents, technology, the level of responsibility in document and archive management.
