Brief description of the course
The students will conduct several sessions with instructors in Interaction Design, Software Development and Robotics labs by working on the group-based design and development projects.
Student will learn and try design-thinking methods, low and high-fidelity prototyping, and methods for fast evaluation of design artefacts.
During the course students will use following technological platforms and tools:
- Arduino Uno hardware controller with Arduino IDE;
- variety of sensors and actuators (including ultrasound sensor, passive infrared sensor, light sensor, temperature sensor, micro motor, stepper motor, led, pieszo speaker);
- Raspberry Pi minicomputer.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- has an overview about modern ways of design and development;
- understands the processes and tools, and uses these appropriately to reach the desired outcomes;
- is able to participate or supervise in similar design projects.
