Course aims

Knowledge about the most important literary works and authors of different periods and schools of literature

Brief description of the course

Analysing literary works in their time, their links with the society, esthetics of certain periods or schools of literature, their place in the canon

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- has knowledge about the French literary canon and most important works of literature;
- has capacity to analyse works of literature in their time and their specific esthetics;
- has ability to analyse them with the aid of contemporary theories and methods;
