Course aims
Reading and discussing important texts by 21st century Spanish authors in the original language.
Brief description of the course
Reading and discussing extracts from the following works: Sánchez Piñol „Külm nahk“, „Pandora Kongos“. Millás “El mundo”, Carrasco “Intemperie”, Uribe “Lo que mueve el mundo”, Llach “Memoria de unos ojos pintados”, Llamazares “Las lágrimas de San Lorenzo”, Rivas “Las voces bajas”
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
Systematic knowledge on contemporary Spanish literature and its movements. Knowledge of the above-mentioned authors and their work. Capacity to read and analyse texts in Spanish. Ability to discuss the style and language of a literary work, its pertinence to a certain movement in literature.
