Course aims

To offer an overview of the movements in Spanish art. Architecture, painting and sculpture will be considered.

Brief description of the course

The lectures will offer an overview of the movements in Spanish art. Architecture, painting and sculpture will be considered. The course will also consider many prominent artists of various art fields over the centuries. The main events in the history of Spanish art will get particular attention over the course. The ability to distinguish between different styles and periods will be developed.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
The ability to obtain knowledge on Spanish art and to analyse the most imporrant works of art.
