Course aims
- gain a deeper understanding of the social enterprise concept in Europe and its differences around the world;
--acquire knowledge about the social enterprise's typology and various operational models.
- gain knowledge on social entrepreneurship concept and trends in Estonia;
- gain knowledge of planning and starting their social entrepreneurship business idea.



Brief description of the course
This course aims to deepen students' understanding of social entrepreneurship through a rigorous examination of its foundational principles and frameworks. Students will study and analyze various social enterprises, exploring legal frameworks, diverse operational models, and the global ecosystems in which they operate. Moreover, the students will discuss their social entrepreneurial ideas and business implementation opportunities.

Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- is able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the concept of social entrepreneurship and its characteristics;
- is able to describe the nature of social entrepreneurship, including its various approaches and models;
- is able to identify and present social entrepreneurship business ideas.
