Course aims
To create a systematic overview of the specialty of private, public and non-profit sector projects and to introduce the concepts and methods that are related to project management in different sectors.
Brief description of the course
An overview about the concept of project management and specialty of private, public and non-profit sector will be given during teaching the subject. The principles of NGO funding and budgeting and the differences compared to profit oriented business projects. Following topics will be covered during the course: types of organizations, types of projects and business environment, types of leadership, teamwork, client and citizen orientation, strategic planning and management, fostering innovation and knowledge, result based management and quality management.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows the different approaches of project management in different sectors;
- Is able to solve the main issues of project management independently.
