Course aims
To provide an overview of the application of reproductive health concepts, theories and mudeleid, including ethical issues. To give the basic knowledge about the mental health problems and to introduce the specifity and basic principles of psychological counselling, prevention and intervention. To support the acquisition of counselling skills.
Brief description of the course
This course provides an overview of the application of reproductive health concepts, theories and models, including ethical issues. The basic knowledge about the mental health problems will be addressed, with a focus on psychological counselling, prevention and intervention principles. The acquisition of counselling skills will be supported.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows and understands the application of reproductive health concepts, theories and models, including ethical issues;
- knows and understands the topics and problems reproductive health psychology is concerned with;
- understands and knows the principles of mental health prevention and interventions;
- knows appropriate counselling techniques for working with various problems.
