Course aims
To offer knowledge and experience on time management as know-how for supporting personal efficiency.
Brief description of the course
Rapid growth of individuals possibilities and requirements on his/her efficiency over the last century has led to a demand for deeper understanding and supportive know-how on how to meet these new conditions.
Models which share the common denominator of "Time Management" are quite promising here. Approaches to Time Management have gone through intensive development. In addition to generalized models, technical aids and recommendations current course will focus on the subject's individual characteristics, beliefs and values regarding his/her use of time as a resource. The phenomenon of "time pressure" will be adressed by showing light onto stress-relieving and prevention techniques, and approaches like "slow“ and simple living“.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- has basic knowledge on Time Management know-how - the systems and methods;
- knows the psychological limits of Time Management methods;
- is skilled in analysing personal time use;
- knows how to apply time management knowhow on studying practice.
