Course aims
To create opportunities for acquiring theoretical knowledge related to exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions, as well as their corresponding equations, inequalities, and systems, and for developing the necessary problem-solving skills.
Brief description of the course
Exponent, logarithmic and trigonometric functions, the utilisation of their properties in problem solving. Similarity transformations of transcendental expressions. Transcendental equations and inequalities and their systems: trigonometric, exponent and logarithmic equations (inequalities).
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows the fundamental concepts related to the functions covered in the course;
- knows the solution methods for the covered equations and systems of equations and is able to apply them;
- knows the solution methods for the covered inequalities and systems of inequalities and is able to apply them.
