Course aims
Elective. To repeat the main laws of number theory, to strengthen knowledge of algorithms of number theory, and to apply them in cryptology.
Brief description of the course
Basis of systematic numbers. Primes, prime testing and pseudoprimes. Algorithms for integer factorisation. Main concepts of cryptology. BCD-Cryptosystems. Symbolic systems. Symmetrical and public-key cryptographic systems. Strong cryptographic systems (DES, RSA, El Gamal, Rabin-Hellmann e.c). Hybrid systems (PGD), block ciphers, digital signatures, digital money.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
Knows mathematical facts and is able to use methods in volume of a subject.
