Course aims
Major. To further the students basic knowledge of planning, realization and reflection in mathematics teaching.
Brief description of the course
Didactics of mathematics as a research domain.
Theories of mathematical learning. Mathematical abilities. Learning difficulties.Meaningful learning.
Objectives of mathematics education, cognitive and affective taxonomy of learning. Planning mathematics teaching. The structure of mathematics lessons. Teaching methods: Development of mathematical concepts; Skills training; Problem solving; Proofs and proveing; Practical tasks in mathematics; Home assignments.
Assessment and grading in mathematics.
The teacher of mathematics: style and efficiency.
