Course aims

Major. The main goal of the subject is to teach the concepts of school mathematics (planimetry, stereometry, constructions on the plane), and introduce the methods of finding solutions to the corresponding problems.

Brief description of the course

At the level of elementary geometry. Congruity and similarity. Circumference and circle, regular polygon. Constructions with compasses and the ruler. Trigonometry of the right-angle triangle. Polyhedrons and solid of revolutions, their areas and volumes. Solving problems of higher difficulty in basic school.
