Course aims

To introduce the main landscape regions, most pronounced landscape objects and environmental problems in South-Estonia in situ and to confirm and deepen understanding of material from the lectures and workshops.

Brief description of the course

Field course for becoming acquainted with the main natural regions of South-Estonia. Overview of the geological development of the region, main environmental problems, their origin, peculiarities and possibilities for mitigation.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
Student must realise landscape borders between different geo-complexs. Knows South-Estonia nature- and environment problems.
