Course aims
Core subject. The objective of the course is to provide an overview of some of the most popular multivariate statistical techniques used in social sciences to present the theoretical basis and preconditions which have to be met for their successful application. The course also intends to provide some experience in interpreting the results of these techniques.
Brief description of the course
Analysis of variance (ANOVA), discriminant analysis, regression analysis, cluster analysis, factor analysis.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
Course consists of lectures and practical classes where students are expected to be actively involved. In addition every student must submit a home assignment, where s/he demonstrates a command of statistical data analysis techniques presented in the course.
