Course aims

To lay the foundations for learning German as a second language and to improve all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. During the course the students will be given the basics of grammar and elementary speaking skills. The course is designed for students studying German as their second specialist area.

Brief description of the course

Greeting, introducing yourself and others, numbers, things around us, food, drinks, shopping, free time, the time, the place you live in, furniture, body and health, everyday life, traffic, timetables, buying and consuming, inviting guests, getting acquainted with the German language and culture, communicative exercises, dialogues, role-plays, vocabulary work and testing.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
Kursuse lõpuks peab õppija omandama teadmised ja oskused, mis vastavad Euroopa keeleoskustasemete skaalal A1 (läbimurre) ja 50% ulatuses A2 (esmane keeleoskus) tasemele.
A1 taseme omamist kontrollitakse peale 60 tundi kontaktõpet (kaasa arvatud praktilise saksa keele grammatika tunnid) vastava A1 tasemeeksamiga
