Course aims

To acquire the knowledge of didactics to organize lessons of craft and home economics in comprehensive school.

Brief description of the course

The course gives the overview about history of craft didactics. Teaching forms. Didactics principles. Teaching methods of craft and home economics. Age-specific characteristics of acquiring knowledge of home economics. Control and assessment. Aims and stages of a lesson. Preparation for lessons. Using didactical materials. Interior of a specific classrooms - handicraft classroom and school kitchen.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- has knowledge about organising study process and craft lessons;
- has possibility to use acquired knowledges and skills,
Possibility to use modern study methods, styles and forms.
