Course aims
Introducing special diets and creating ability to analyze them. Subject deepen and complement knowledge gained through courses Fundamentals of nutrition and Cooking technology.
Brief description of the course
Different ways of vegetarism. Food choices and its risks. Eating with food intolerance (eg, grain protein, milk sugar, etc.). Food allergy. Diets for regulating body weight. Cooking technology.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows different diet;
- is able to draw up a special menu;
- is able to assess the risks associated with diet;
- is able to analyze the nutritional info.
