Course aims
Introducing the opportunities of dance and movement therapy in the work with different target groups.
Brief description of the course
Using dance and movement therapy in case of developmental, medical, social, physical and psychological problems. Different areas of application, including mental health rehabilitation, medical and educational institutions, care homes, day care services, prevention of diseases, health promotion programmes, private practice.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
Students:
Are aware of the opportunities of applying dance and movement therapy in case of various problems;
Orientate between the specific features of different areas of application;
Are able to independently carry out a short therapy session in the context chosen by themselves.
