Course aims

The objective of the course is to introduce the recorder in F. Continuous development of playing technique and learning the repertoire of the instrument. Becoming acquainted with the prevalent recorder treatises and tutors.

Brief description of the course

Exercises to develop finger- and breathing technique and articulation. Playing simple melodies (children s songs, folk music, mediaeval pieces, renaissance dances etc., all of them by ear as well). Continuing playing in ensembles combining different sizes of recorder. Playing the scales during lessons (thirds and triplets with different articulations).
