Course aims
The aim of the course is to provide the student with theoretical and practical skills for working with vocal and instrumental ensembles. Preparing musical accompaniment and ensemble settings.
Brief description of the course
In the lectures the practical system of chord notation and the free interpretation of harmony in light music are covered. Characteristic features of jazz harmony. Comparison of light music styles. The principles of arranging music for vocal ensembles. In individual lessons the sketches for arrangements for vocal ensembles are worked through and finalised. In practical classes the arrangements for vocal ensembles are performed with an ensemble studio.
